Local resident Jace Izuno recently received his Eagle Scout ranking with Boy Scouts of America, Troop 31.
His Eagle Scout project was a clean-up and beautification project at the western and eastern gateway landmarks in Historic Filipinotown in Los Angeles.
He organized volunteers and resources for the project, coordinating with local city officials and community leaders.
Izuno is a 2023 graduate of Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, a second-degree black belt at Master’s Taekwondo in Montrose and recently graduated summa cum laude as a baritone of the National Children’s Chorus.
He will be attending the Claire Trevor School of the Arts at UC Irvine in the fall.
