The Crescenta Valley High School varsity boys’ lacrosse team breezed through its CIF-SS Division III first-round game by defeating visiting Downey, 18-6, on Wednesday. No individual statistics were reported to the Glendale News-Press.
The Falcons advanced to a quarterfinal matchup at Orange Lutheran High of Orange yesterday; the result was unavailable by the Glendale News-Press’ deadline and will be included in next week’s issue. If victorious, CVHS would advance to the semifinal round and meet either Canyon High of Anaheim (11-6 overall) or University High of Irvine (13-8 overall) on Monday, May 9.

The Nitros were eliminated in the first round of the CIF-SS Division III postseason after falling at Mission Viejo, 21-9, on Monday. No individual statistics were reported to the Glendale News-Press.
Glendale concluded the season with an 8-10 overall record (2-3 in league).
