The Crescenta Valley High School varsity girls’ basketball team lost a tough battle at Beckman High in Irvine, 57-51, in a CIF-SS Division 2A second-round game on Wednesday evening, despite four Falcons scoring in double figures.
Junior Melissa Dayag collected a team-high 14 points, sophomore Lulu Arzoumanian scored 13 points, and junior captain Victoria Prochazka and sophomore Kylie Ray each registered 10 points. Junior captain Taleen Krikorian and junior Saleen Marganian each finished with two points.
The Falcons finished the season with an 11-6 overall record and captured the Pacific League championship with a perfect 7-0 mark.

Crescenta Valley routed visiting Sunny Hills High of Fullerton in the first round of CIF last Saturday.
Arzoumanian poured in a team-high 16 points while Dayag and Ray recorded nine and seven points, respectively. Krikorian scored four points, senior Amee Petrossian, junior Malia Donoghue and Marganian each finished with two points, and junior Aleek Zakarian tallied one point.
