Investigators are seeking witnesses to a commercial burglary that occurred at a store in the 600 block of Colorado Boulevard at 4:43 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13. An unidentified man was seen throwing a rock to shatter the front glass door to break in and steal more than $1,000 from the business. He was described as a 30-45-year-old man standing between 5 feet, 8 inches and 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds and wearing a dark hoodie, gloves, pants and sneakers.

A 39-year-old North Hollywood man was arrested on suspicion of carrying a loaded firearm in public and receiving stolen property after being pulled over in a stolen vehicle at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8, in the 200 block of Maryland Avenue.

Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station

A tool kit, power saw, drill and crate containing other tools were reported stolen from a Chevrolet Suburban SUV parked in the 2900 block of Stevens Streets in La Crescenta that was burglarized after an unknown person used a tool to break into the vehicle sometime between 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, and 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13.

An unknown person was reported to have pried open a locked community mailbox at an apartment complex in the 2400 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta and stolen mail sometime from 3-4:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 14.

Money and a garage door opener were reported stolen from the glove compartment of a vehicle parked at an apartment building in the 2400 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta between 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, and 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 7.
