The Hoover High School varsity boys’ soccer team edged host Crescenta Valley High 1-0 in a Pacific League match on Dec. 12 as Areg Gevorgyan scored the deciding goal. The Tornados previously suffered a 3-0 league loss against visiting Pasadena on Dec. 8.
Hoover (4-2 overall, 1-2 in league) will host Burroughs High of Burbank for a league match on Dec. 21 at 3:45 p.m. before visiting Burbank on Jan. 4.
GLENDALE
The Nitros secured a 3-1 Pacific League victory at Muir High in Pasadena on Dec. 12. Individual statistics were not reported to the Glendale News-Press.
Glendale edged visiting Burbank 2-1 in a league match on Dec. 8. Senior Hani Ahmadie tallied one goal and one assist, while junior Felix Martirosyan scored one goal.
The Nitros (4-0-1, 3-0) will visit Pasadena for a league game on Dec. 21 at 3:45 p.m. before visiting Schurr High in Montebello on Dec. 26.
CRESCENTA VALLEY
The Falcons lost to visiting Hoover High 1-0 in a Pacific League match on Dec. 12.
CVHS routed visiting Muir High of Pasadena 6-0 in a league match on Dec. 8 as Leon Einhaus scored a hat trick. Grant Hovhannisyan finished with two goals, while Asher Helberg scored one goal.
Crescenta Valley (2-5-1, 1-2) will host Burbank for a league match on Dec. 21 at 3:15 p.m. before visiting Glendale on Jan. 4.
