Tornados Win Second Straight, Top Temple City

The Hoover High School varsity football team secured its second consecutive victory by defeating host Temple City 34-27 in a nonleague game on Oct. 6.
Senior quarterback Ethan Davis completed seven passes for 117 yards with a touchdown, while junior Davion Holloway made a 42-yard touchdown catch. Junior Javon Lymon rushed for 58 yards, scoring twice on eight carries, while sophomore Aj Francisco contributed with three carries for 10 yards and two touchdowns.
Senior Joseph Dizon racked up a game-high 146 yards on 18 carries. Senior Daniel Baneham recorded three catches for 41 yards, junior Joel Jauregui had two receptions for 29 yards and senior Aram Darbinyan added a 5-yard catch.
The Tornados (3-5 overall) will face Viewpoint High in Calabasas for a nonleague game on Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. Their regular season will conclude with the annual Battle of the Bell game against crosstown rival Glendale on Oct. 26.
