By City News Service

The driver of a vehicle struck by a Metrolink train on Aug. 26 appeared uninjured after being found walking near the crash scene in Glendale.
The crash was reported at 5:44 p.m. in the vicinity of San Fernando Road and Doran Street, at the Glendale-Los Angeles border, said the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Brian Humphrey. It is south of the 134 freeway and east of the Los Angeles River.
The outbound Metrolink Antelope Valley Line train reportedly struck the vehicle on or near the tracks, eventually stopping upright and on the tracks, Humphrey said. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle were found walking nearby and appeared uninjured. The engineer, conductor and 95 passengers aboard the four-car train were not injured, he said.
