Tornadoes Fall Short of First Win

The Hoover High School varsity football team fell to visiting Ganesha High of Pomona 29-26 in a nonleague game on Aug. 24. Individual statistics were not reported to the Glendale News-Press by the Hoover coaching staff.
The Tornados (0-2 overall) recently hosted Gabrielino High of San Gabriel; the nonleague game ended after the Glendale News-Press’ deadline and will be included in next week’s issue. Hoover will host South Pasadena on Friday at 7 p.m. before hosting Bernstein High of Hollywood on Sept. 15.
