Flow Jitsu Comes to the Brand Park’s Japanese Garden

The Friends of Shoseian is inviting the community to join them for Flow Jitsu on Sunday, Aug. 20, at the Japanese Garden at Brand Park, located at 1601 W. Mountain St. in Glendale.
From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., attendees interested in learning a new approach to the art of grappling will learn from a Mikal Vega, a retired Navy SEAL who will share his approach to grappling with an opponent as well as life’s challenges.

The Friends of Shoseian is a nonprofit that was founded to maintain and preserve the beauty and serenity of the Shoseian Teahouse and the Japanese Friendship Garden for future generations to enjoy.
