Boys’ Lacrosse: Falcons, Nitros Look to Bounce Back

The Crescenta Valley High School varsity boys’ lacrosse team lost at Chaminade High in West Hills 8-4 in a nonleague game on March 28.
Senior Nelson Lunt recorded seven ground balls, two assists and one goal, while senior Matthew Kubela registered 16 saves. Junior Tegan Clark chipped in two goals, while junior Andrew Peterson finished with one goal, one assist and one face-off win. Seniors Daniel Briones and Michael Clark each collected three ground balls, seniors Xander Trinh, Quincy Lunt and Elias Shammaa each tallied two ground balls, and senior Jackson Roehr, senior Jason Yee, junior Cormac Abaravich, junior Samuel Gore and junior Alec Kousherian each had one ground ball.
The Falcons (2-8 overall, 1-2 in league) will visit Village Christian High in Sun Valley for a league game on April 10 at 3:30 p.m. before hosting Heritage Christian High of Northridge on April 11.

GLENDALE
The Nitros returned to action April 2 and suffered a 10-2 Coastal Canyon League loss at Simi Valley. Individual statistics were not reported to the News-Press.
Glendale (2-6, 0-2) will host Oak Park for a league game on April 9 at 7 p.m. before visiting Royal High in Simi Valley on April 11.
