Antaeus Extends ‘The Tempest’ Through July 30

Antaeus Theatre Company has extended its run of Shakespeare’s “The Tempest” through July 30.
Director Nike Doukas brings out the musicality of the comedy, adding original music, live musicians and on-stage Foley effects. “The Tempest” tells the story of an enchanted storm that strands a banished Duke’s enemies on his isle of exile. Through magic, misadventure and forgiveness, the Duke, his daughter, his foes and the island spirits are all liberated from the prisons of their pasts to the promise of their futures.
“The Tempest” stars Bernard Addison, John Allee, J.D. Cullum, Elinor Gunn, John Harvey, Adrian LaTourelle, Saundra McClain, Peter Mendoza, Erin Pineda, Anja Racić and Peter Van Norden.
The show will be performed at the Kiki and David Gindler Performing Arts Center, located at 110 E. Broadway in Glendale on the following dates and times:

  • Fridays at 8 p.m.: July 7, July 14, July 21, July 28
  • Saturdays at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.: July 8, July 15, July 22, July 29 (no Saturday matinee on July 29)
  • Sundays at 2 p.m.: July 9, July 16, July 23, July 30
  • Mondays at 8 p.m.: July 10, July 17, July 24
    Tickets are $40 and can be purchased at antaeus.org/productions/the-tempest/.
