Dignity Health-Glendale Memorial Honored for Surgical Excellence

Dignity Health-Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center was recently recognized as an accredited Center of Excellence in robotic surgery and colorectal surgery by the Surgical Review Corporation.
These achievements speak to GMHHC’s commitment to deliver the highest quality of care to patients.
“We are the first and only hospital in L.A. County to receive a Center of Excellence designation in colorectal surgery and the first hospital in Glendale to be designated as a Center of Excellence in robotic surgery,” said Jill Welton, GMHHC president and CEO. “This is an honor and a testament to the dedication for excellence by our Surgical Robotic teams and validates our commitment to high quality, minimally invasive surgery.”
Health care facilities and surgeons seeking an SRC accreditation undergo an extensive assessment and inspection process to ensure the applicant meets SRC’s proven standards and requirements. These requirements include surgical volume and outcomes, facility equipment, clinical pathways and standardized operating procedures, an emphasis on patient education and continuous quality assessment.
“We’re proud to recognize Glendale Memorial Hospital for its commitment to advancing and providing quality care for all patients,” said Gary Pratt, SRC CEO. “This accreditation signals that Glendale Memorial is among the best in these specialties and is dedicated to delivering the highest level of care possible.”
The Robotic Surgery Program at Glendale Memorial is the area’s leader in providing some of the most advanced surgical treatments for colorectal, urology, gynecology, bariatrics and orthopedics.
