Falcons Fall to Mira Costa, 17-11

The Crescenta Valley High School varsity girls’ lacrosse team returned to action after a 16-day hiatus and lost to visiting Mira Costa High of Manhattan Beach, 17-11, in a nonleague game on Monday.
Sophomore Camden Ballard registered five goals and one assist while sophomore Sophia Lima finished with four goals and one assist. Senior captain Brianne Ballard produced one goal and two assists, senior Shari Park recorded one goal and one assist, and sophomore Hannah Yi was credited with an assist.
The Falcons (8-3 overall) will visit Newport Harbor High in Newport Beach for a nonleague game Saturday at 10:30 a.m. before visiting Village Christian High in Sun Valley on April 5.

GLENDALE

The Nitros blanked host Birmingham High in Lake Balboa, 18-0, in a nonleague game last Friday. Glendale previously lost a nonleague game against visiting Redondo Union High in Redondo Beach, 22-9. Individual statistics were not reported by the Glendale coaching staff.
The Nitros (3-8 overall) will visit Tustin for a nonleague game on Tuesday, April 4, at 3:30 p.m. before hosting Westridge School of Pasadena on April 6.
