Sheklow, Lunt Propel CV Past Glendale

The Crescenta Valley High School varsity boys’ lacrosse team defeated visiting Glendale, 17-4, in a Gold Coast League game on Tuesday.
Senior Ethan Sheklow racked up four goals, two assists and three ground balls for the Falcons while junior teammate Quincy Lunt registered four goals, two assists and one ground ball. Senior Damien Valdez tallied two goals, one assist and two ground balls while senior Jake Mounougian and sophomore Tegan Clark each scored two goals.
Junior Alex Lineses produced one goal, two assists and one ground ball, senior Parker Trillo finished with one goal, one assist and three ground balls, and junior Xander Trinh scored one goal with two ground balls. Senior captain Anthony Gharapetian was credited with an assist and added ground ball while junior goalie Matthew Kubela made eight saves. Sophomore Samuel Gore took three shots on goal, sophomores Andrew Peterson and Ephram Wright each had two shots on target and two ground balls, and senior Dayton Wickerd had one shot on goal. Sophomore Josiah Noh collected three ground balls, juniors Nelson Lunt and Daniel Briones each had two ground balls, and senior Jared Monougian, junior Elias Shammaa and sophomore Rory Campbell each had one ground ball.
The Falcons previously posted a convincing 15-4 league victory at La Cañada as Valdez scored a game-high four goals. Quincy Lunt recorded two goals and two assists while Lineses and Mounougian each tallied a pair of goals. Gharapetian tallied one goal and three assists, Sheklow finished with one goal and two assists, Nelson Lunt produced one goal and one assist, and Gore and Trillo each scored once.
CVHS (7-3 overall, 5-1 in league) will host Notre Dame High of Sherman Oaks for a nonleague game on Tuesday, April 4, at 3:30 p.m. before hosting Royal High of Simi Valley on April 6.

GLENDALE

The Nitros recently lost a Gold Coast League game at Crescenta Valley, 17-4. Individual statistics were not reported by the Glendale coaching staff.
Glendale (2-7 overall, 1-4 in league) will host Village Christian School of Sun Valley for a league game on Monday, April 3, at 3:30 p.m. before visiting Royal High in Simi Valley on April 5.
