Nitros Win Nonleague Game, 9-7

The Glendale High School varsity girls’ water polo team narrowly won a nonleague game against visiting Flintridge Prep of La Cañada Flintridge, 9-7, on Tuesday.
Sophomore Brina Brati led the team with four goals, sophomore Inessa Khajehgian registered a pair of goals, and sophomores Mia Gonzalez, Leah Gaddes and Jasper Starr each scored once.
The Nitros (2-1 overall) will visit Pasadena Poly for a nonleague game on Saturday, Dec. 3, at 11 a.m., followed by a nonleague matchup at Louisville High in Woodland Hills on Tuesday, Dec. 6.

HOOVER

The Tornados visited Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy of La Cañada Flintridge for a nonleague game on Thursday; the game finished after the Glendale News-Press’ deadline and will be included in next week’s issue.
Hoover (1-2 overall) will visit Warren High in Downey for a nonleague game on Tuesday, Dec. 6.

CRESCENTA VALLEY

The Falcons have been idle since their nonleague matchup against visiting Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy of La Cañada Flintridge on Nov. 16.
CVHS will participate at the Bonita tournament in La Verne, which starts on Friday, Dec. 9.
