The Hoover High School varsity girls’ soccer team routed visiting Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences of Granada Hills, 5-0, in its nonleague season opener on Wednesday.
Senior Emilie Shahvosian, junior Lillian Yousefian, junior Fiona Gilbert, junior Libni Pesantes and sophomore Katie Coppersmith each scored one goal.
The Tornados will return to action by hosting Birmingham High of Lake Balboa in a nonleague game on Wednesday, Nov. 30.
