A 36-year-old Glendale man was arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old boy at a doughnut shop in the 600 block of Glenoaks Boulevard on Wednesday, Aug. 31. Police say the man approached the counter as the boy’s family was making a payment and pinched his buttocks, leaving the store after another customer and the family confronted him. The man was identified and arrested later that day. Investigators are trying to locate the intervening customer for assistance in building the case, the department said.
Two men and two women were arrested on suspicion of burglary after allegedly breaking into several storage units at a facility in the 4800 block of San Fernando Road at 5:42 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9. Two of the suspects, a 32-year-old Los Angeles man and 34-year-old Montebello woman, were booked for identity theft and possession of burglary tools after officers reported finding bolt cutters along with mail, blank checks and credit cards belonging to other people in their vehicle. Another, a 32-year-old San Bernardino man, was also booked for an outstanding warrant.
A 21-year-old Los Angeles man was arrested on suspicion of carrying a loaded firearm in public and possession of a controlled substance while armed after officers reported observing him parked in a handicap space without a placard outside of a business in the 500 block of Colorado Street at around midnight Thursday, Sept. 8. Officers reported that there was a loaded and unregistered firearm in his vehicle and that he was carrying a bag of cocaine.
Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station
An unidentified man was seen taking mail from a mailbox at a home in the 3000 block of Prospect Avenue in La Crescenta at 4:10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3. He was described as a Black man wearing a black baseball cap, black T-shirt and black shorts.
A resident in the 3100 block of Alabama Street in La Crescenta reported being defrauded by an unknown person masquerading as an Amazon customer service employee on Friday, Sept. 9. The victim said the fraudster directed her to purchase several gift cards and Bitcoin and transfer their redemption codes in order to facilitate a product return.
