Glendale Library, Arts & Culture Children’s Services recently announced the winners of the 2024 Bookmark Contest.
Participants were asked to create a bookmark showcasing the theme “Read, Renew, Repeat.” Artwork was encouraged to reflect conservation, protecting planet Earth and all its animals, plants and habitats. The theme for this year’s bookmark contest is also the theme for the 2024 Summer Reading Program.
The Bookmark Contest winners include Gabriel (pre-K), Valentina (kindergarten), Ruby (first grade), Lim (second grade), Kayla (third grade), Ellie (fourth grade), Ariana (fifth grade), Corinne (sixth grade), Ella (seventh grade) and Ava (eighth grade).
The winning bookmarks and more information about the contest can be viewed on the library’s website at EGlendaleLAC.org/kids-bookmark-contest.
Additionally, the winners’ bookmarks will be reproduced and distributed at all Library, Arts & Culture locations during the Summer Reading Program beginning June 1. For more information, call the Children’s Room at (818) 485-2035.
