Boys’ Lacrosse: Nitros, Falcons Cap League Campaigns

The Crescenta Valley High School varsity boys’ lacrosse team suffered a 17-6 Gold Coast League loss against visiting Village Christian High of Sun Valley in its regular-season finale on April 25.
Senior Matthew Kubela racked up 15 saves, while junior Samuel Gore scored three goals. Junior Charlie Allen registered four ground balls, two assists and one goal, while senior Quincy Lunt finished with three ground balls, one goal and one assist. Junior Andrew Peterson was credited with 11 ground balls, eight face-off wins and one assist, senior Nelson Lunt tallied seven ground balls and one goal, and senior Elias Shammaa collected nine ground balls. Senior Jackson Roehr and junior Cormac Abaravich each recorded three ground balls, while sophomore Aidan Roe-Briesewitz contributed two ground balls and one face-off win. Senior Michael Clark had two ground balls, while senior Zeth Bello, junior Roman Lara and junior Christian Hudson each produced one ground ball.
CVHS finished the campaign fourth in league with a 4-6 record (6-12 overall).

GLENDALE
The Nitros ended the season with a 10-5 nonleague loss against visiting Chaminade High of West Hills on April 26. Individual statistics were not reported to the News-Press.
Glendale finished the campaign fifth in the Coastal Canyon League standings with a 1-7 record (4-12 overall).
