The Crescenta Valley High School varsity girls’ lacrosse team lost at Mira Costa High in Manhattan Beach 15-4 in its CIF Southern Section Division I opener on April 30.
Junior Camden Ballard finished with two goals and one assist, juniors Sophia Lima and Maya VanLeuven each scored one goal, and juniors Kaily Kim and Hannah Yi each had one assist.
Crescenta Valley finished the campaign third in the Mission League standings with a 3-5 record (13-8 overall).
GLENDALE
The Nitros will open the CIF Southern Section Division III playoffs at Valencia on May 4 at 5 p.m. after receiving a first-round bye. If victorious, Glendale would advance to the quarterfinals against an undetermined opponent on May 7.
