Student Panel Speaks With Glendale School Board

The Glendale Unified School District’s Student Advisory Council hosted its first Student Voice Panel of the year on Tuesday, where representatives from district high schools shared their opinions with peers and members of the Board of Education on various school-related topics. Moderated by Glendale High ASB President Nelin Gharpetian, the panel focused on addressing academic support, health and safety, and campus culture.
Discussions involved creating better opportunities to get new students adjusted to high school and adding more security presence on campuses to prevent fighting and vaping and drug use. Students also expressed interest in incorporating artificial intelligence into education, adding that it can be a useful tool for exam preparation and learning to write code.
