Martinez, Farhadian Power Crescenta Valley Girls’ Soccer to CIF Win

The Crescenta Valley High School varsity girls’ soccer team shut out host Beverly Hills 2-0 in its CIF Southern Section Division IV opener on Feb. 8.
Emily Martinez and Leah Farhadian each scored for the Falcons in the win.
The Falcons concluded the regular season and Pacific League action with a 1-0 loss against visiting Arcadia on Feb. 1.
Crescenta Valley (16-6-2 overall) will host Louisville High of Woodland Hills (17-2-1 overall) for its CIF second-round match on Feb. 10.

HOOVER
The Tornados shut out visiting Glendale 4-0 in their regular season and Pacific League finale on Feb. 1. Senior Isabella Quinones, senior Lillian Yousefian, senior Fiona Gilbert and junior

Hoover finished the campaign seventh in league with a 2-10-2 record (5-16-2 overall).

GLENDALE
The Nitros concluded the regular season and Pacific League play with a 4-0 loss at Hoover High on Feb. 1. Glendale finished the campaign eighth in league with a 0-14 record (0-19 overall).
