Glendale Library, Arts and Culture Accepting Entries for Annual Bookmark Contest

Glendale Library, Arts and Culture is seeking young artists’ entries for its annual Bookmark Contest.
Artists in preschool through eighth grade are invited to design an original bookmark illustrating their interpretation of this year’s theme, “Read, Renew, Repeat!” Artists can pick up an entry form at any Glendale Library, Arts and Culture location or download it from the library website.
Completed forms with original artwork designs can be returned at eight Glendale Library, Arts and Culture branches during normal business hours, now through Thursday, Feb. 29.
“This is the perfect opportunity for young artists in Glendale to showcase their artistic abilities,” said Jen Driscoll, supervisor of Children’s Services. “Your bookmark entry may become an official Library, Arts and Culture bookmark for 2024, which will be promoted through the Glendale library system and beyond!”
Winners will be selected from 10 categories: Pre-K, kindergarten, first grade, second grade, third grade, fourth grade, fifth grade, sixth grade, seventh grade and eighth grade, and each winner will receive 50 printed copies of their bookmark, a goodie bag, certificate, and have their school principal and City Council notified of their achievement.
Complete information and materials are available at all Glendale Library, Arts and Culture locations and online at eGlendaleLAC.org/kids-bookmark-contest.
For more information, call Library Information at (818) 548-2035, or email library staff at LibraryInfo@GlendaleCA.gov.
