Anjunyan Scores Twice as Glendale Shuts Out Crescenta Valley

The Glendale High School varsity boys’ soccer team defeated visiting Burroughs High of Burbank 4-1 in a Pacific League match on Jan. 9.
Senior Edgar Naghdalyan two goals, senior Hani Ahmadie two assists and one goal, and senior Kevin Anjunyan one goal.
The Nitros shut out visiting Crescenta Valley High 2-0 in a league game on Jan. 4.
Senior goalie Emil Sarkisians earned a clean sheet, Anjunyan scored a pair of goals, and senior Victor Santos Mejia and Naghdalyan each had one assist.
Glendale (7-1-2 overall, 6-1 in league) will visit Burbank for a league game on Jan. 16 at 6:45 p.m. before hosting Muir High of Pasadena on Jan. 19.


CRESCENTA VALLEY
The Falcons suffered a pair of 2-0 Pacific League losses against Pasadena and Glendale.
Crescenta Valley (4-7-1, 3-4) will visit Muir High in Pasadena on Jan. 16 at 3:45 p.m. before traveling to Hoover High on Jan. 19.


HOOVER
The Tornados settled for a scoreless draw against visiting Arcadia in a Pacific League match on Jan. 9. Hoover previously lost at Burbank 2-0 in a league match on Jan. 4.
The Tornados (5-4-1, 2-4-1) will visit Pasadena for a league match on Jan. 16 at 3:45 p.m. before hosting Crescenta Valley High on Jan. 19.
