Montrose Christmas Parade Draws Festive Crowd

The Montrose Christmas Parade Association hosted its annual parade on Dec. 2 where nearly 20,000 community members gathered to celebrate the holiday season. Attendees included Mayor Dan Brotman, City Councilmembers, Police Chief Manny Cid, L.A. County Supervisor Kathryn Barger, state Sen. Anthony Portantino, Glendale Unified Superintendent Darneika Watson and Glendale Fire Chief Greg Fish.
The parade saw performances from 11 student bands, drumline or cheer groups, including Glendale High School; Woodrow Wilson Middle School; Crescenta Valley High School; Rosemont Middle School; a combined marching band with students from Hoover High School, Toll Middle School and Mark Keppel Elementary; Horace Mann Elementary Cheer and Yell; Burbank Bulldog Brigade; St. Francis High drumline, La Cañada High School Marching Spartans and the Glendale Community College Pep Band.

In addition to a variety of community floats, the Korean American Youth Association rode through the Montrose Christmas Parade.
