Crescenta Valley’s CIF Run Ends on the Road

The Crescenta Valley High School varsity football team lost at Kennedy High in La Palma 28-14 in its CIF Southern Section Division X opener on Nov. 3, as sophomore Leonidas Grant rushed for 10 yards on three carries with a pair of touchdowns.
Senior Jacob Deno completed 13 of 25 passes for 195 yards, while senior Bjorn Hermansen recorded eight catches for 114 yards. Sophomore Xavier Thompson had four receptions for 53 yards, while junior Chander Thome made a 28-yard catch. Senior Andranik Saryan rushed for 4 yards on three carries, senior Cristian Flores and junior Jesse Flores each rushed for 1 yard on one carry, and senior Serge Adabashian went 2-for-2 in PAT attempts.
The Falcons finished the campaign third in the Pacific League with a 3-2 record (7-4 overall).
