The Glendale Youth Alliance, a nonprofit that provides jobs and employment training for low-income youth, held its 30th Anniversary Luncheon and Awards Ceremony, where they presented Councilwoman Paula Devine with the Legacy Award on Oct. 25.
“They say the things you do for yourself are gone when you are gone, but the things you do for others remain as your legacy,” Devine said upon accepting the award. “GYA provides a path to prepare thousands of youth to be productive, successful members of our community and has always been a beacon of light for me and has always prompted me to contribute to its success.”
