NCL Chapter’s ‘From the Heart’ Blood Drive Returns June 25

The Glendale Chapter of National Charity League Inc. will hold its 17th annual “From the Heart” American Red Cross Blood Drive on June 25, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will be held at the USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, located at 1812 Verdugo Blvd., in Council Rooms A-D.
The summer is a time when blood supplies are very low and donors are urgently needed. Members of the community are encouraged to make an appointment to donate by emailing nclglendalefromtheheart@gmail.com or by signing up for this drive on the American Red Cross website at redcross.org and entering sponsor code: nclglendale.
All donors will receive a $10 gift card after the event and will be entered in a drawing for two different sets of two Knott’s Berry Farm tickets. Donors will also be treated to homemade cookies and treats made by the mother-daughter chapter members.
“Our chapter’s blood drive is one of the most successful in the area and this year, we hope once more to meet or exceed 100 blood donations and potentially save 300 lives,” said Michelle DeMonteverde, chapter co-president. Chairing the event are members Marissa Nelson, Fiona Wertheimer and Megan Crossland. For more information on From the Heart, email nclglendalefromtheheart@gmail.com and to learn more about NCL Inc., Glendale Chapter membership, visit nclglendale.org and complete the online interest form on the “Get Involved” page.
