He was La Cañada High School’s star point guard for coach Tom Hofman (center) and helped the Spartans defeat San Dimas, 62-53, in the title game at the Los Angeles Sports Arena on March 7, 1992. It marked the first CIF-SS boys’ basketball championship in La Cañada High School’s history.
