Falcons Lose First-Round Match

The Crescenta Valley High School varsity boys’ lacrosse team lost to visiting West Ranch High of Valencia, 11-5, in its CIF-Southern Section Division II first-round match last Thursday.
Senior Ethan Sheklow registered one goal, two assists and three ground balls, junior Quincy Lunt tallied one goal, one assist and three ground balls and junior Matthew Kubela racked up 24 saves. Sophomore Samuel Gore produced one goal and one ground ball, senior Parker Trillo scored one goal with two ground balls and junior Alex Lineses recorded one goal and one ground ball.
CVHS junior Nelson Lunt and sophomore Tegan Clark each finished with three ground balls and one shot on target, senior Damien Valdez was credited with an assist and a ground ball, senior Jake Monougian had one shot on goal and two ground balls, and junior Xander Trinh had one shot on goal and one ground ball. Senior captain Anthony Gharapetian collected two ground balls while junior Daniel Briones, junior Elias Shammaa, sophomore Andrew Peterson and sophomore Josiah Noh each had one ground ball.
The Falcons finished the campaign as the Gold Coast League’s runner-up with a 10-2 record (13-7 overall).
