Girls’ lacrosse: CVHS Beats West Ranch

The Crescenta Valley High School varsity girls’ lacrosse team defeated host West Ranch High in Valencia, 15-7, in a nonleague game on Monday as senior Shari Park racked up four goals and three assists.
Sophomore Camden Ballard registered a team-high five goals while senior captain Brianne Ballard tallied a team-best five assists. Sophomore Sophia Lima finished with three goals while senior captain Ashlyn Burton, junior Audrey Chung and sophomore Kaylani Parker each scored once.
The Falcons (3-0 overall) will visit St. Margaret’s High in San Juan Capistrano for a nonleague game Saturday at 6 p.m. before hosting Culver City on Monday, March 6, at 3:30 p.m.

The Nitros have been idle since blanking visiting Birmingham High of Lake Balboa, 15-0, in a nonleague game on Feb. 17.
Glendale (1-1 overall) will compete in the Rose Bowl Jamboree Saturday before hosting Downey for a nonleague game on Monday, March 6, at 4 p.m.
