To celebrate the giving spirit of the holidays, employees, physicians, board members and volunteers at Dignity Health – Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center, along with LA Galaxy, Glendale Police and the Glendale Fire Department, donated toys to every student at Cerritos Elementary School.
More than 500 kids received an item from their wish list, just in time for the holiday. LA Galaxy midfielder Efrain Alvarez and the LA Galaxy Star Squad were on hand with Santa, who made his grand entrance on a fire truck, much to the delight of the kids.
“This is one of our favorite events of the year,” said President Jill Welton of Glendale Memorial Hospital. “For over 10 years we’ve had the honor of kicking off the holiday season with Cerritos Elementary and sharing this joyful time with the students. Seeing their excitement makes it just as fun for us.
“Thank you to our amazing community partners who joined us today to spread cheer: representatives from GUSD, Glendale Fire, Glendale Police, and the LA Galaxy,” she added. “Our collaboration with these community partners is priceless.”
