The Crescenta Valley High School varsity football team lost a nonleague game at Moorpark last Friday, 41-7.
Junior quarterback Jacob Deno completed 12 passes for 92 yards, junior Cristian Flores rushed for 26 yards on 12 carries, and senior Shade Schaefer had three catches and three carries for 24 total yards. Senior Jason Nelson made two catches for 33 yards, senior Arian Bakhshi had one reception for 21 yards and junior Cristian Flores made four catches for 13 yards. Junior Andranik Saryan had a pair of receptions and carried once for 9 total yards, while senior Zach Dunlavey rushed for 4 yards on one carry.
The Falcons (1-2 overall) visited La Cañada for a nonleague matchup on Friday, Sept. 16; the result was unavailable by the Glendale News-Press’ deadline and will be included in next week’s issue. CVHS will conclude nonleague action by hosting Calabasas on Thursday, Sept. 22.
