A 36-year-old Pomona woman was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, exhibiting a deadly weapon, identity theft and obstruction after allegedly swinging a pair of 6-inch scissors at a pedestrian at around 8:30 a.m. Sunday, June 12, in the 200 block of Glendale Avenue. Officers said she was also in possession of a driver’s license and credit card belonging to someone else and had an outstanding arrest warrant.

A 22-year-old transient man, 22-year-old South Gate man and a 21-year-old Los Angeles man were arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and identity theft after being pulled over at around 5 p.m. Sunday, June 12, near Central Avenue and Galleria Way. Officers, who were responding to a retail theft report, said they first tried to pull the men over in the 200 block of Central Avenue, after which the motorist initially fled. The men allegedly had a pistol with a loaded magazine and checks addressed to other people in their possession.

A 26-year-old transient man and 36-year-old Lake Balboa woman were arrested on outstanding warrants after officers made contact with them when they parked in the 200 block of Central Avenue at around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 14. Officers reported finding a “ghost gun,” debit and credit cards belonging to other people and a bag of psilocybin mushrooms inside the vehicle. The transient man was also booked for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, carrying a concealed weapon by a convicted felon, possession of a controlled substance while armed and identity theft.

A 62-year-old Hollywood man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a controlled substance while armed, and possession of narcotics and controlled substances for sale after being pulled over at around 3:20 a.m. Sunday, June 12, near Pacific Avenue and Riverdale Drive. Officers reported finding a loaded revolver, eight bags of methamphetamine, four bags of ecstasy, five bottles of cocaine and a glass pipe in his vehicle. The man was also booked on an outstanding warrant for firearm possession.

A juvenile was arrested on suspicion of attempted vehicle burglary and possession of burglary tools after being pulled over at around 1 p.m. Friday, June 10, near Central Avenue and Pioneer Drive. Officers reported finding multiple saw blades and other evidence inside the vehicle.

Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station
Two unidentified men were seen stealing a catalytic converter from a Toyota Prius parked in the driveway of a home in the 2300 block of Pickens Canyon Road in La Crescenta at 9:55 p.m. Wednesday, June 8. One was described as a 35-year-old man with short black hair, standing 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds, and the second was described as a 35-year-old man with short black hair, standing 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing 230 pounds. They were seen driving a gray Honda sedan.

An unknown person was reported to have stolen a catalytic converter from a Ford F-350 pickup truck parked in the 2400 block of Harmony Place in La Crescenta sometime between 4:10 and 4:20 a.m. Monday, June 13.

An airbag was reported stolen from the steering wheel of a Honda Civic that was parked in the 2400 block of Mayfield Avenue in Montrose between 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 9, and 5:45 a.m. Friday, June 10. The thief used a tool to damage a door lock to access the vehicle.
