CV’s FitzGerald, Simmons, Arias Compete in CIF Finals

Crescenta Valley High School scored 13 points and tied with San Clemente for 18th overall in the CIF-SS Division I boys’ track and field events at Moorpark High School last Saturday.
Senior Rowan FitzGerald captured second place in the 1,600 meters with a 4:14.40 time, while junior Parker Simmons claimed fourth in the 3,200 with a 9:12.70 time.
Meanwhile, the CV girls’ team tied with Aliso Niguel High of Aliso Viejo, Los Osos High of Rancho Cucamonga and Saugus for 31st overall with four points in the CIF-SS Division I track and field events at Moorpark.
Senior Rachel Arias finished fifth in the 300-meter hurdles with a 45.38 time.
