The Crescenta Valley High School varsity softball team returned to action after a two-week hiatus and lost its first Pacific League game at undefeated Arcadia, 8-5, on Thursday afternoon.
The loss snapped a six-game win streak and gave Arcadia a one-game advantage over the Falcons (8-7 overall record, 4-1 in league) for first place in the league standings.
CVHS catcher Isabelle Jamgotchian collected a pair of hits, including a home run, while outfielder Lily Hinkle went 2-for-4. Infielder Mila Reddy and pitcher Perri Derian each tallied a base hit, infielder Lauren Curtis and outfielder Anais Ochoa each scored once, and utility player Haley Krohn registered an RBI.
Crescenta Valley is scheduled to visit Hoover High in a league game on Tuesday, March 29, at 3:30 p.m.
