Hoover Falls to Crescenta Valley

The Hoover High School varsity baseball team was unable to keep up with host Crescenta Valley and fell, 11-3, in a Pacific League contest March 11.
The Tornados (1-6-1 overall) dropped their fourth consecutive league game, with two of the defeats dealt by first-place teams – the Falcons (4-0 in league) and Arcadia. No stats were provided to the News-Press.
Hoover will look to bounce back at home against Burbank (4-0 in league) on Tuesday, March 22, at 3:30 p.m.

Glendale High School
The Nitros suffered another loss last week, falling to Burbank Burroughs, 13-6, in a league matchup on March 11. No statistics were reported to the News-Press.
Glendale has dropped four consecutive league contests and dipped to 4-4 overall on the season. The squad will seek its first victory in March in a nonleague road game today at Mary Star of the Sea in San Pedro at 11:30 a.m.

Crescenta Valley High School
The Falcons followed up their victory over Hoover competing in a tournament and winning two of four contests.
Crescenta Valley fell to Granada Hills Charter and Los Osos of Rancho Cucamonga in the first two games of the tournament but bounced back with a 3-1 win over Lancaster Paraclete and a 6-3 win over Temple City.
CVHS (8-4 overall) will travel to Chula Vista in San Diego County to take on Mater Dei Catholic in a nonleague doubleheader today and return to Pacific League action at Pasadena Muir on Tuesday, March 22, at 3:30 p.m.
