Falcons Win 6th Straight; Nitros, Tornados Drop League Games

The Crescenta Valley High School varsity softball team continued riding its hot streak last week, defeating visiting Burbank, 2-1, in a Pacific League contest on March 10.
The Falcons overcame an early one-run deficit with a score in the bottom half of the first frame and another in the third for the victory. No stats were submitted to the News-Press.
Crescenta Valley (8-6 overall) improved to 4-0 in league play and will battle for first place on the road against Arcadia, which is also unbeaten in league, on Thursday, March 24, at 3:30 p.m.

Glendale High School
The Nitros remained winless on the season, most recently falling to first-place Arcadia, 19-0, in a Pacific League contest on March 10.
Glendale entered its spring break with an 0-12 record and will seek its first victory of the season on Thursday, March 24, when the Nitros host intracity rival Hoover in a league contest at 3:30 p.m.
