Dreier’s Nursing Care Center Commemorates 75 Years

Dreier’s Nursing Care Center recently celebrated its 75th anniversary at the Glenmark Hotel with champagne toasts and congratulatory well-wishes.
Glendale Mayor Ardy Kassakhian, City Councilwoman Paula Devine and Dreier’s Administrator John Haedrich addressed the attendees.
Mary Hovagimian, representing Rep. Adam Schiff, and Jason Maruca, representing Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger, also attended along with other health care professionals and community members.
Dreier’s was founded in 1947 by Dr. John Dreier, grandfather of Haedrich. The progressive treatment facility offers rehabilitative therapy and long-term care, and its certified staff includes physicians, nurses, therapists, dieticians and social workers together with support staff. The center’s overriding goal is to recognize and support each patient’s dignity, independence and individuality, and to further those in an uplifting and positive environment.
“Caring for others in their greatest times of need is a high calling, and Dreier’s is a valuable member of this community, providing critically important services to help its patients thrive to the greatest degree possible,” Kassakhian said.
Haedrich added: “Each life, each individual we encounter deserves to be treated with the utmost respect while recognizing the importance of caring for both mind and body in a warm and hopeful environment. To that end, our staff makes every effort to ensure that each patient feels comfortable, safe and right at home.”
