Author to Visit Library With Ramen-Themed Book

To celebrate Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander month, author Oliver Chin will share his book “The Discovery of Ramen,” which is part of his Asian Hall of Fame series, on May 29 at Library Connection @Adams Square, from 4:30-5:15 p.m.
In his book, red panda Dao takes kids Emma and Ethan through the history of ramen. From 1800’s Japan to the present, participants will learn all about this delicious dish. The book is well suited for children aged 4-12.
The event welcomes people with disabilities to participate in all our programs and events. For accommodations requests, email LibraryInfo@GlendaleCA.gov.
Guests should note that Glendale Central Library visitors receive three hours of free parking across Harvard Street at the Marketplace parking structure with validation at the service desk. Accessible parking is available on the east side of the building.
For additional information about this event, contact Central Library by calling (818) 548-2021 or sending an email to LibraryInfo@GlendaleCA.gov.

First published in the May 18 print issue of the Glendale News-Press.

Due to Central Library’s closure beginning today through Wednesday, June 19th, we have had to move the Oliver Chin event next Wednesday, May 29 – 4:30 PM – to Library Connection @Adams Square
