Glendale Police Arrest Three Juveniles in Fatal Robbery

Glendale Police Department detectives arrested three juveniles, ages 14, 15 and 16, for felony murder in connection with the death of a 76-year-old Glendale resident, police said on Thursday.
On the morning of Dec. 16, Glendale patrol officers responded to reports of a hit-and-run at the intersection of Lexington Drive and Columbus Avenue in Glendale. Officers located a female victim down in the street at about 10 a.m. Despite immediate life-saving measures and transportation to Los Angeles County USC Hospital, she succumbed to her injuries.
During their investigation, detectives determined that the incident was not an accident, but an alleged robbery. Following the arrests of the juveniles, all three suspects were transported to the Glendale City Jail where they remain in custody.
“Our hearts go out to the family and loved ones of the victim in this tragic incident,” Glendale Police Chief Manny Cid said in a statement. “I want to thank our Glendale Police detectives for their diligent work in pursuit of justice for the family and friends of the victim.”
This case will be presented to the district attorney’s office next week.
The GPD urges anyone with information related to this incident or the suspects to contact them at (818) 548-4911.
