Girls’ Lacrosse: Ballard Scores Four to Send Falcons Past Hart

The Crescenta Valley High School varsity girls’ lacrosse team overwhelmed host Hart High in Santa Clarita with a 20-1 nonleague victory on Feb. 20.
Junior Camden Ballard registered four goals and two assists, junior Sophia Lima tallied four assists and three goals, and junior Ashley Giboney contributed three goals and two assists. Junior Kaily Kim finished with two goals and two assists, while junior Maya VanLeuven and sophomore Caroline Fox each scored two goals. Junior Kylie Atzert had one goal and one assist, senior Rachel Kim, junior Hannah Yi and sophomore Julia Marriott each chipped in one goal, and junior Kristyn Roh was credited with one assist.
The Falcons picked up a 16-6 nonleague victory at Culver City on Feb. 15.
Lima racked up six goals and one assist, while Ballard finished with five goals and three assists. Kaily Kim registered three assists and two goals, while Kylie Atzert and Giboney each tallied one goal and one assist.
Crescenta Valley (3-0 overall) will visit Downey for a nonleague game on Feb. 26 at 5:30 p.m. before hosting El Segundo on Feb. 27.

GLENDALE
The Nitros suffered an 18-4 loss against visiting Redondo Union High of Redondo Beach in a nonleague game on Feb. 21. Glendale previously picked up a 10-5 nonleague victory at Downey on Feb. 16. Individual statistics were not reported to the Glendale News-Press.
The Nitros (2-1) will visit Palos Verdes High for a nonleague game on Feb. 28 at 3 p.m. before opening Pacific League action at Chadwick School on March 7.
