The Glendale High School varsity boys’ soccer team was shut out by visiting Bell Gardens 2-0 in the quarterfinals of the CIF Southern Section Division III playoffs on Feb. 13.
The Nitros secured a narrow 2-1 second-round victory at Vista Murrieta on Feb. 9.
Seniors Alejandro Nunez and Kevin Anjunyan each scored one goal, while senior Emil Sarkisians blocked a crucial penalty kick.
Glendale finished the campaign second in the Pacific League standings with a 12-2 record (15-3-2 overall).
