As of Jan. 1, Glendale, Long Beach and Los Angeles implemented speeding cameras.
In these cities, more focusing on Glendale, there are countless reckless drivers that are causing many accidents, primarily on Glenoaks. One of the primary reasons for implementing speeding cameras is to improve road safety.
Speeding is a significant factor in many accidents and can lead to more severe injuries and fatalities in the event of a collision. The presence of speeding cameras can act as a deterrent to speeding behavior. Knowing that they may receive a ticket in the mail for speeding can make drivers think twice before exceeding the speed limit. With this knowledge, there needs to be a clear sighting of these cameras that will force drivers to slow down.
With the camera’s location being hidden, it won’t change anything. There needs to be an incentive that forces drivers to slow down on Glenoaks.
