I would like to thank the News-Press, and in particular Kennedy Zak, for the excellent in-depth coverage of the races for Glendale City Council and Glendale Community College board of trustees.
I found the questions to the candidates most insightful, and the answers very helpful in making my choices in the upcoming elections. This is especially true when the field of candidates is so large, as is the case in the City Council elections.
Charming fluff pieces by excellent writers, such as Chris Erskine, may certainly be entertaining; however, I feel providing readers with important information about candidates’ positions on issues, which will directly affect those readers, is a fundamental purpose of a local newspaper. Bravo, News-Press.
