Falcons Secure Consecutive Clean Sheets

The Crescenta Valley High School varsity girls’ soccer team shut out host Pasadena 6-0 in a Pacific League matchup on Jan. 9.
Junior Emily Martinez contributed three assists and one goal, juniors Leah Farhadian and Misganech Teahan each produced one goal and one assist, and senior Adamari Polanco, sophomore Kira Lee and sophomore Audrey Lum each scored one goal.
The Falcons routed visiting Glendale 10-0 in a league game on Jan. 4.
Junior Aniela Migliaccio finished with two goals and two assists, while senior Mackenzie Elster and Farhadian each scored two goals. Senior Kaylee Yoxsimer chipped in one goal and one assist, while freshman Arianna Dominguez, Teahan and Lum each recorded one goal. Martinez was credited with three assists, while senior Mia Pulido, senior Cameron Ouye and Polanco each had one assist.
Crescenta Valley (10-5-1 overall, 7-0 in league) will host Muir High of Pasadena on Jan. 16 at 3:30 p.m. before hosting Hoover High of Glendale on Jan. 19.


HOOVER
The Tornados were recently shut out in a pair of Pacific League matchups against Arcadia, 5-0, and Burbank, 1-0.
Hoover (3-12-1, 0-6-1) will host Pasadena for a league game on Jan. 16 at 3:45 p.m. before visiting Crescenta Valley High on Jan. 19.


GLENDALE
The Nitros were recently shut out in a pair of Pacific League matchups against Burroughs High of Burbank, 12-0, and Crescenta Valley High, 10-0.
Glendale (0-12, 0-7) will host Burbank for a league game on Jan. 16 at 3:45 p.m. before visiting Muir High in Pasadena on Jan. 19.
