Los Angeles Federal Credit Union Raises $12,250 in Drive for Toys for Tots

Los Angeles Federal Credit Union raised $12,250 in donations for its 2023 Toys for Tots campaign. Donations were gathered in their respective branches, from staff, from PayPal submissions, and from the donation and transfer function in mobile and online banking.
The credit union’s $5,000 goal was eclipsed quickly, and they ultimately raised $7,250. LAFCU also matched up to $5,000 through its charity organization, the Los Angeles Charitable Association, which brought the total donated to $12,250 and paid for 1,225 toys that were purchased then given to children during the holidays.
Additionally, for the first time in four years, 253 toys were donated in their branches by members and LAFCU staff. Since its founding in 1947, the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots foundation has distributed 652 million toys to 291 million children. The foundation is a not-for-profit public charity and since 2001 has ranked as one of the top-rated charities by “Philanthropy 400.” LAFCU has been a 25-year partner with Toys for Tots and is proud to be a part of its mission.
Anyone living in the Greater Los Angeles, California Metropolitan area can join LAFCU and take advantage of its financial services. For details, visit LAFCU.org, call (877) 695-2328, or visit a branch.
