Glendale Chamber Elects New Board Chair

Angie Ray was elected Glendale Chamber of Commerce chair of the board of directors. Her term began on July 1. Ray has served on the Chamber board since 2019 and has participated as a director and vice chair of the board.
Ray is vice president of Forest Lawn Memorial Parks-Glendale, and has also served in that capacity for the Cypress and Long Beach Parks over her nine years with Forest Lawn. Her career in the end-of-life profession spans 37 years and covers her involvement in most every aspect of the business, from sales to operations. Forest Lawn-Glendale is a 100-year member of the Glendale Chamber of Commerce.
Ray has served as a board member on the Cypress Chamber of Commerce, Boys & Girls Club of Cypress and Greater Anaheim, and Cypress College President Advisory Board. She earned a bachelor’s in business from the University of Phoenix and is a California-licensed funeral director, cemetery manager and crematory manager.
New directors who joined the Glendale Chamber board on July 1 are: Alicia Cruz, Pacific BMW; Rajesh Gade, Physician of Optum Glendale; Lucy Mardonovich, Hollywood Production Center; and Angela Monette-Smith, Sage Glendale. Board members progressing from the position of director to vice chair are Kevin Briggs, The Glenmark Hotel, and Laura Reyes-Everett, Dignity Health Glendale Memorial Hospital.
“We welcome these respected, talented leaders to the Glendale Chamber of Commerce board of directors,” said Judee Kendall, president and CEO of the Glendale Chamber. “Each brings a wealth of business experience that will strengthen our board and help us achieve our goal of growing the Chamber and strengthening local business.”
Chamber board members thanked outgoing chair Jennifer Schultz Bertolet for a job well done at the final meeting of the fiscal year in June. She will continue to serve on the Chamber board as immediate past chair.
