On Tuesday, the Glendale Police Department hosted its National Night Out where community members were encouraged to come out and engage with various organizations, police and city staff. The Pacific Community Center’s National Night Out hosted a number of community booths including the Cub Scouts, Ascencia, the city’s Office of Sustainability, the Glendale Police SWAT team, Glendale Library, Arts and Culture, Community Services and Parks, and more. Guests enjoyed free hot dogs provided by Costco and children found entertainment playing in bounce houses and rock climbing. Lenore Solis, resident and member of the Glendale Human Relations Coalition, helped to organize the event. “I love to see the city come together like this,” Solis told the News-Press. “I’m lucky to live in Glendale.” - Photo by Kennedy Zak / Glendale News-Press
