The graduating classes of Allan F. Daily High School and Verdugo Academy celebrated a combined commencement on June 7 at the First United Methodist Church.
Student speakers from each school delivered addresses to their fellow graduates, families and friends.
Awards were given to the Students of the Year, Teacher of the Year and Classified of the Year, with commendations by Glendale Unified School District Superintendent Vivian Ekchian.
At the height of the ceremony, Principal Lonny Root awarded diplomas to the approximately 26 Allen F. Daily High School graduates and 36 Verdugo Academy graduates.
